Principal Angel Roddy
Principal Angel Roddy has devoted her career, spanning 31 years, to Cincinnati Public Schools.
Prior to leading Mt. Airy School, Roddy served as the school’s assistant principal, and also served as the assistant principal at Evanston Academy. She taught in numerous CPS buildings, including North Fairmount, Heberle, Chase and Carthage schools. She also worked as a teacher evaluator and as the facilitator of the Teacher Evaluation System. Roddy earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the College of Mt. Saint Joseph and her master’s degree in education and principal degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
In 2019, Roddy received the James N. Jacobs Public School Administrator Award and In 2009, she received the Dr. Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year Award from Western & Southern Financial Group for her outstanding work with Cincinnati’s children.
She is the proud mother of three grown children and grandmother of four amazing grandchildren. Education is a family affair; Roddy’s husband and sister are CPS teachers, and her daughter is a school administrator in Miamisburg, Ohio.
