My career in education began just over 18 years ago, and I’ve been honored to serve in a variety of leadership roles within Cincinnati Public Schools. Over the years, I have held administrative, teaching, and youth development positions at Roll Hill, Westwood, Roberts, Chase, and Oyler and now, I am proud to serve as Principal of the prestigious Mt. Airy Elementary School.
I entered the field of education through a non-traditional path, earning my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on Birth to Age 5 from Ashford University. I later completed both a Master’s in Elementary Education and a second Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Most recently, I completed coursework in Educational Leadership at Harvard University, deepening both my instructional expertise and leadership capacity.
I wholeheartedly believe in the power of positive relationships. It is nearly impossible to lead the mission of educating children without strong, meaningful connections. One of my greatest joys as an educator is being invited to former students’ graduations, weddings and now seeing their own children enter our schools. These enduring bonds are a testament to the lifelong impact educators can have, and I hope to build those same relationships here at Mt. Airy. By prioritizing relationships and developmentally appropriate practices, I strive to lead schools where students not only excel academically but also grow into resilient, well-rounded individuals prepared for the future.
I am looking forward to partnering with the staff, students, families, and community this school year. Together, we are going to make this a year of positive culture, strong relationships, and academic excellence!
