Principal Angel Roddy

Angel RoddyPrincipal Angel Roddy has devoted her career to Cincinnati Public Schools.

Prior to leading Mt. Airy School, Roddy served as the school’s assistant principal, and also was assistant principal at Evanston Academy. She taught in numerous CPS buildings, including North Fairmount, Heberle and Carthage schools. She also worked within CPS’ teacher evaluation system.

Roddy earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the College of Mt. Saint Joseph and her master’s degree in education from Indiana Wesleyan University.

In 2009, Roddy was awarded the Dr. Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year Award from Western & Southern Financial Group for her outstanding work with Cincinnati’s children.

She is the proud mother of three grown children and grandmother of three adorable grandchildren. Education is a family affair; Roddy’s husband and sister are CPS teachers, and her daughter is a school administrator in Miamisburg, Ohio.
